Longest Short Weekend

Hey friends!


How was your weekend? 


Mine was short (I had to work Saturday again) but it was long- and not in the good way. 
I am not sure what the problem is. I think I am stressing myself out. 


Work really wasn't bad. I was just hosting the walk/run club meeting for work and just hung out with lola while the runners did their thing-
H2O for the runners and walkers!

Uh yea i'm totally choking her :/ 
Then headed to a chocolate class with my mom!
(this was actually fun)


We learned about the process of making chocolate, different types of chocolate, how its processed, and tasted different kinds! Pretty enjoyable! It was a local company called CoCo Flow. I didn't get a ton of pictures- I was already getting odd looks from people :)

The yummy (REAL CHOCOLATE- not nestle or Hershey) molten  mountain of yumminess we got to eat.
It was a good experience - But then again when is anything a bad experience when chocolate is involved? :)

Sunday was were is got exhausting. Have you ever dealt with people who never make valid points and act more like their shoe size than their age? Yea well I did. UGH 
And I am stubborn- I wont back down. 
That is all I will say about that. 

By the end of the day I was drained from a 12 hour migraine and decided to run into Target. Grabbed some Fruit strips....

 No artificial flavors or dyes here:)
Tuna for work -- which I left at home :(

Then met my dad for coffee and bfast this morning. 

Seriously still cranky today. I need some more chocolate :)

 Beyonce used the Master Cleanse to lose weight for her role in Dream Girls. This diet, also known as the Lemon Cleanse or Maple Syrup Diet, involves drinking maple syrup, lemon juice, water, and cayenne pepper concoctions for several days. This diet severely restricts calories and is extremely low in nutrients – not a good idea to follow. Beyonce herself said she wouldn't recommend people try the diet.

Recap of my day

Started the day off yesterday with a little coffee and words of wisdom from the Big Man upstairs :)

Then my dog at my parents house ( Jake) let me know it was time  to feed him

Watered and tended to my lil herb garden
Here is the latest update with it.
Parsley- Not sure if its even still there.
Oregano- is barely there and might have overtaken the parsley's area. not sure
Chives- are alive and well getting tall
Basil- is getting big too!!

Stopped my Starbizzle on the way to work because..well lets face it. This thing has stolen my heart.
Yes, I am sure I annoy the SB workers with my long request and its kinda funny to try and hear them say it back. Tall Non fat, No whip Mocha coconut frap.
( I know it not that long but they always get fumbled when they repeat it!!) :P

  


Lunch yesterday was simple- and very yummy. Fresh strawberries ( which have been named as the #1 on the dirty dozen) bananers, PB, and Triscuits.
This came after I taught Spin & Sculpt and Red Carpet Arms
and then did 25 minutes on the Motion Trainer


Today I had to pack up Lola and take her back to my house. My parents came home today....

Today has been far less exciting.
J is sick
I have a headache
Coffee was far more 'blahh' this morning.
my little tan is fading
and lunch was a veggie sub on wheat from Subway, with red wine vinegar dressing.

Maybe Ill go walk on my hands on the treadmill to spice up the blog.. or not.

Hobo Packs

Hi Bloggies..


Last night was awesome. J came over when I got off. (I'm house sitting at my parents) We grilled and hung out by their pool. It was just what I needed.

For dinner we grilled Hobo packs.

What are Hobo packs?

What do you want them to be? Yea exactly.
They are pretty much whatever you want them to be wrapped up in foil and grilled.

We packed-
Wild Caught salmon
potatoes
broccoli
garden fresh onions ( thanks dad!)
jalapenos
olive oil
Salt and Pep ( like the seasoning not the band :P)
and Tabasco sauce of course

Grilled for approx. 35 minutes. (Thanks to J- If it were up to me and my growling stomach...i would have taken them off after 12 minutes like the recipe called for but he knew it wasn't long enough)
It was foodgasmic :)


Please pardon the scariness of this grill. ( my face) we were in the sun and pool

Since J is Mr. ambulance man .. his shifts are opposite of mine. So this was my Monday night but it was his Friday night :(
Its weird and it sucks because we only see each other like 2x a week. But we try and make the most of it.

Lola made sure and terminated the stuffed cow.

Yes Lola you saved us.. the cow was dangerous. .. :/

Ya one of those

Im having one of those weekends. Uuuu know the kind. I've been lucky enough to see several of my best friends (which is a rare occurance)

But I'm still in a down mood. So today I ran into starbizzle. Tried something new. Non fat coconut mocha frap. Nervous to try new things and I usually only want my coffee hot..

It was amazing. Maybe its all I needed. :)

Stretch, nomads, and... feathers?!

HEY!

J bought me new shoes today :)
I lurve them.

I just got done with stretch class.
Have you ever taken one?

Its super important to stretch!
We take 30 minutes, turn the lights off, turn on some Jack Johnson ( another favorite)
and do serious deep stretching.
Hold each pose for about 20-30 seconds.
trust me you will feel like you cold just fall asleep when you are done, its very  refreshing.

It was especially nice after teaching spin and red carpet arms earlier today.

My gorgeous niece had my sister send me a picture of her newest hairdo :)

She got feather extensions!
 Well off to do some paperwork before going to visit a friend .. Have a great hump day!
